Exhibits are usually displayed in Cohen library, either in the main floor atrium or in the Archives Gallery in the Archives & Special Collections Division, and are open to the general public. Members of the public may need to first visit the office of Public Safety to get clearance to enter the library.
Exhibit subject matter tends to relate to the CCNY Community, the surrounding neighborhoods, and materials available in our collections. However, we do seek out traveling exhibits and subjects of interest when they support and enhance the College’s curriculum. For more information on our exhibit space and policy, see our Exhibit Policy below.
The Library Exhibits Committee is responsible for developing the ideas and timeline for exhibits. If you are interested in proposing an exhibit for the Cohen Library Atrium, please fill out Exhibit Proposal Form A below and e-mail it to: Mr. Tynan Hoffman (email@example.com). If you are interested in proposing an art exhibit for the Cohen Library Archives Gallery, please fill out Exhibit Proposal Form B below and e-mail it to Prof. Sydney Van Nort (firstname.lastname@example.org). Artists showing their work in the Archives Gallery will be asked to complete and sign the below Cohen Library Archives Gallery Art Loan Agreement.
