Welcome to the Classical Studies LibGuide! This research guide is intended to help you locate print and electronic resources accessible in the CCNY libraries, as well as from off-campus.

Each tab represents different types of resources and provides a list of selected catalogs, databases, and websites you can use to locate information you need.

Research Tips:

1. Define your research topic.

2. Get an overview and background information of the topic (use general and subject specific encyclopedias, refine and narrow down your topic, find key search terms to use)

3. Identify the types of resources you need (print/electronic? books? journal/magazine/newspaper articles? images? statistics?)

4. Search for information (view selected resources by clicking on different tabs in this guide)

5. Evaluate information and sources (accurate? appropriate for academic research papers?)

6. Cite your sources (MLA, APA, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.)

Ask a librarian!

Find us at the reference desk or submit an Ask a Librarian online query.
